We considered the idea of a very high-end, limited edition, guitar to celebrate twenty years of Seagull. We certainly wouldn't be the first to make a numbered run of very-expensive-abalone-soaked-made-from-a-log-that-was-buried-under-the-pyramids guitars, but that's not what Seagull is about. What we're all about - thanks for asking - is no-nonsense musical instruments of exceptional value.

We were also looking for a way to include as many people as possible in our celebration and realized that what better way to mark the anniversary of a guitar known for its tremendous value than to offer the most outstanding value to ever wear the Seagull logo. So without further adieu we proudly introduce the Seagull Anniversaire Cedar and the Anniversaire Spruce.

Both guitars are made with a special Flame Maple veneer for the back & sides the spruce model is finished with a very light natural stain, while the back & sides of the cedar-top version sport a rich brown stain. Headstocks are bound and topped with a matching flame veneer. Another outstanding feature of these guitars is the high-gloss lacquer finish. It takes about eight days in production just to apply this finish which is why you don't see this finish on other guitars anywhere near this price range*. We have thousands of guitar tops graded and in various stages of curing at just about any time and we have selected from the best of this generous supply for the Anniversaire guitars. And that means superb sound.

Each of these guitars comes with a certificate of authenticity but we wanted to sweeten the deal even further and so we are including a Fort EPP case with each one. Guitar Player magazine called this case: "possibly the eighth wonder of the world" and for good reason the EPP case provides protection far beyond that of a standard wooden case and weighs only half a pound more that a vinyl gig bag.
