It
seems like yesterday that we opened the Godin Guitar Company web site
and received our first e-mail. Since then our company has continued
to grow and so to has our 'viewer mail'. In fact we now find ourselves
confronting several hundred requests for information every day!
An interesting thing about e-mail is that most people expect an immediate
response and a delay of even a few days usually results in an angry
follow-up letter from the original sender.
We work very hard at controlling our costs at The Godin Guitar Company
and our main reason for doing so is to keep the end-user prices of our
products to the most affordable possible levels. If you already know
something of our history then you know that we operated for about fifteen
years before producing our first advertisement. We produced our first
brochure about four years ago. And yet here we are currently producing
more acoustic guitars than anyone in North America so it's not unreasonable
for someone who is even remotely aware of our scope to expect us to
be able to answer some e-mail. After all, isn't direct contact with
end-users exactly what most companies hope for? Absolutely, but in the
meantime e-mail represents a bit of a dilemma.
In order to answer our mail a person has to have some fairly impressive
qualifications. Not only do these guys have to know everything about
the hundreds of different guitars made here but they also have to be
able to write about them in two languages.
At this point the only people qualified to handle these questions are
our product specialists who are already fully engaged in their regular
work.
In the meantime please take a minute to explore our FAQ section for an answer to your question. We truly appreciate your interest in our guitars and we are committed to improving our response time.
